Your basil has really taken off. I planted my herbs in urns by the front door and I’m so glad. It’s really handy to grab a handful without having to put on shoes. LOL.
Thanks Renee
My basil has grown larger this year than ever before and I haven’t a clue why. It’s the same variety, pots and soil I use every year. I’m like you, I love having fresh herbs close enough to step out without shoes and picking a handful to use. 🙂
Thanks Barb
This year is the first time I let a basil plant mature to bloom stage.
I wish I spoke bee language. I wonder if the honey made with basil pollen is herb flavored. lol 🙂
I’m wondering, do you have stink bugs on your tomatoes? They make a tomato almost impossible to peel! I don’t like to put pesticides on my veggies but the bugs are a pest.
Yep Charlotte, unfortunately, there’s more then a few stink bugs that hang out on my tomato plants… and squash plants… and they do not get to survive if I can squish them. Other than sevin, stomping and squishing is the only ways I’ve found to control them with any luck.
I wish you oodles of luck with your gardening. 🙂
The basil looks good. Hope you have a pest free day too 🙂

Once again you sent me off to learn something new. Now I will add basil to my garden to attract pollinators.

Cute critters. The mosquitoes waited for hubby to get home and start working on the flower bed!

Your poor hubby, I hope he has some blood left after working in your flower beds. 🙂
