You know it’s cold when…

Iris the Lavender Leopard Gecko says,
“It’s cold out,
Think I’ll put on a hat!”

I feel sorry for my Bff and her family and their pets. They’re pretty much snow and iced under where she lives. It’ll probably be into next week before they’re melted out enough to get back to normal life again.
The above photo is compliments of my Bff, it’s her grandchild’s gecko named Iris.
I smile every time I look at this fun photo. I think, you know it’s cold when a gecko in a heated terrarium puts on a hat. 😉

Here in my neck-of-the-woods, it’s a toasty 18°. The sun is shining and the sky is clear and blue. The snow is melting some on the roads and in the yard but not in the shade. It appears our thaw has started, perhaps we are headed for warmer weather for awhile. Perhaps…

Wishing you all blue skies and sunshine
and a warm thawing rest of the week.

    • Hi Dianna
We got up in the 40s today and the only snow left is in the shade. I figure it’ll all be gone sooner than soon. I hope you all thaw and start having warmer Spring weather. 🙂

  1. Oh how cute! Iris is obviously a well loved little gecko!

It is thankfully warming up enough to melt off our snow fairly quickly. They actually plowed the roads in my area this time (but didn’t salt) so the roads are better than with the last snow. I’m still snowed in, however, as my driveway is still covered with snow over a layer of ice. I lack any salt or a shovel to clear it out so am just waiting for it to melt enough I can actually go somewhere. If not for the buildup at the end of my driveway from the plow I could maybe make it. I’m not going to complain about getting to stay home, cozy with the dogs.

    • Thanks so much CW
Iris is well loved and well tended. I agree, she is so cute.
Well goodness, the snowplows are helpful and yet so aggravating when they block your driveway with snow.
I hope your driveway thaws out soon. Meanwhile I know your girls love having you home with them.
Take care and keep warm. 🙂
