2019 Temperature Blanket Finished Update

I’m delighted to announce that I have finally finished my 2019 Temperature Blankets! ~Happy Dance~
They measure out at 38″x52″ (inches.)

I enjoyed making these blankets, every morning adding the 5 little rows of the temperatures from the day before… until about the 300th day… then for whatever reason my joy waned and my morning add-ons became a chore. It saddened me to loose the joy in my blanket journey challenge.
However,
I thought about you all, my blogging buddies, who’ve been with me every step of the way. It was your positive feedback that kept me going.

I say a heart filled grateful, Thank you, to all of you who has supported and encouraged me along the way over the past year. Your cheers have been the wind that kept my creative wings in flight. You’re the best!

In order to get the 365th day in, instead of doing the usual 5 rows a day, I did 4 rows for the last 5 day temperatures.
I’m happy to post these photos of the finished 2019 temperature blankets.

    • Thanks so much Kathy,
I’m happy I went ahead and made the high and the low blankets. It was touch and go there after the 300 day mark, but I’m glad I kept on adding on each day. 🙂

  2. Many many congratulations on completing both blankets, E.C.! It’s wonderful that you persevered for an entire year (and a bit) and saw them through – you’re totally awesome! Hope every use of either blanket brings a smile to your face.

You made me smile, You say the nicest things. It was truly a struggle for me after the 300 day mark, but I’m glad I kept on adding-on each day. It makes me smile to know I set myself a challenge and mastered it and created 2 pretty blankets. 🙂

    • Thanks so much Margy,
That’s a great question. On the hand, I love that I set myself a challenge and met it and created 2 great blankets. Yet on the other hand it became such a chore the last 65 days that it took some of the joy away, until I completely finished them with the border, then my joy returned full throttle with some pride too. 🙂
However, I don’t plan on doing a project like this again, (but I might some year later on.)
At this moment, the answer is 100% absolutely not! 😀

  3. Thanks so much WW,
I’m glad I stuck with it too. I couldn’t have done it, if it hadn’t been for the positive feedback here on my blog. I hadn’t thought of them telling a story, but yes in deed, that’s what they do. Cool! 😀

After I got the border on I really like the look of the 2 blankets.
I thought about making some for 2020, but by the end of 2019 I lost interest in making them, so at this time, I’ve no plans to make anymore. 😀
