The above photo doesn’t have anything to do with my post.
It’s there because I didn’t want to post a picture of 2 boring laptops.
I think 2 fairies resting by crystals is much more fun to look at.

I’ve been working on sitting up a new laptop for me and resetting my old laptop for my husband. His laptop went bad. We both had the same kind of 14 inch laptops. He’s quite happy with it and didn’t want to change. So I gave him mine and got me a new 15.6 inch one.
I’ve reset and set up so many computers over the past few decades that I do the process fairly by rote, but the wait time for the programs to do their thing is major boring time-eaters.
Hopefully, except for the sporadic update, We are good to go back to our normal internet nonsense.
Wishing you all a computer-issue free rest of the week.
PS: Can anyone direct me to the WordPress Daily Prompt?
I can’t find the beginning page where they post it.
Good for you, E.C. A new laptop will give you a new lease on life. LOL! 😂 🧚♀️ And a little fairy magic is good for the soul. 💖

Thanks so much Colleen,
Ah, yes a new laptop with 420 free gigabytes to fill up.
My my my, just think of all the mischief I could get into. 😁
I agree, isn’t a sprinkle of fairy magic a much-welcomed extra spice to life? 💖🧚♀️❤️

I made a list of all the programs and set ups and settings on my computer so that it will be much easier to get up and running the next time!

Hey Margy,
That’s a great idea. It’d make getting a new pc or a reset up and running faster and easier. Wish I’d thought to make a list, that would have sped things up quite a bit.
Thanks for the helpful hint. 😊

I have a list of all of my setup actions too, and some post-setup stuff as well–you know, some setting that I’d have tweaked sometime for an experience that I like, and the new laptop doesn’t have the same behaviour after the initial setup? The first 90% of the setup is done within a day, and then it takes a week for the remaining 10%, lol. Lists and notes have helped me a lot with that!
Hope you’re both happy with your laptops, and continue to remain so!

Cool Anita,
That’s such a great list to have. Wish I’d thought to make one. Yep, I agree, 90% done on day one and then a week or better to finish smoothing out the edges and reloading programs pictures and files. And then if (When) I mess up, I have to reset and do it all again. Thank goodness for the factory reset program. 😁
