10-19-2024- Hey Everybody

I’m dropping in to say hello.
Many years ago, I read an article that said if you’ve taken time off from blogging, not to start back with an re-intro post, but instead, to just jump back in posting.
I think that’d be an awful cold way to restart, and since I’m past the age of giving a flip about pretentious rules, here goes… 😁

Life has kept us on our toes the past few months. Things are finally evening out. The days are getting longer and cooler. The cooler temperatures are welcome after the long hot days. We still have days of hot temperatures but they’re not as intense as before.

Sheli-bean is suffering some sad health issues mainly with his heart. He had to stay in the veterinary-hospital for a few days. We thank the good Lord above that he’s still with us. His age is an issue with his health problems. We’re diligent in giving him his medicines twice a day, which he likes a lot because they’re like a treat and cheeses. He’s our wonderful little boy. ❤️

I reached the point, with my other laptop where I could no longer tolerate it.  It was one of several reasons, that caused me some of my blogging issues. So, I splurged and got a new laptop. It’s taking some time for me to get my files/photos/programs and stuff uploaded, downloaded, reloaded and back up and running. Not to mention getting used to it. I’m still in the ‘learning curve’ stage with it.

By any chance, do you know of a good ‘note program’ that I can use across my devices: kindle fire, mobile phone and laptop? I was using ColorNote notepad, but unfortunately, it’s no longer compatible with Windows 11. :/

Okay, folks, I’ll be making the rounds, when I can, and try to do some visiting and commenting. Be patient with me, it’ll take me a few days to visit. I have a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully, I’ll be back to blogging more often, soon.

I wish you all a pleasant  weekend.
😊

  1. Hi EC, I am sorry to hear about Shelibean’s poor health pets are precious to us.

As for a reintro post, I think it’s a good idea. Bloggers I have followed over the years have gradually faded away and disappeared. I sometimes visit their blogs and wondered what happened to them especially the earlier bloggers like yourself. Blogging was different back then.

    I look forward to reconnecting

    🙂

    • Thanks so much Pip,
I’m with you on the missing bloggers from over the years. There’s so many that I would love to know how their lives progressed. I agree blogging was different back then.
I hope you have a wonderful week. 😊

    • Thanks so much Colleen,
I hope you are well and feeling fine.
We are just puttering right along; we’re waiting to see what this new autumn brings.
      Wishing you a wonderful week.😊❤️
P.S. I believe I could use some quality time at the ‘Lavender Cafe’. It seems such a pleasant place to relax and refresh the spirit.💟

  2. A new computer! Sounds so wonderful but can take quite a while to adapt to! I went from a PC to a Mac and am still not up to speed! I think Windows 11 would have been a steep learning curve if I had gone that route.

    • Thanks so much Margy,
Yep, it’s always an adventure to have a new machine to remind me how technically challenged that I am. lol
I’ve never used a Mac. I bet it would be a steep learning curve for me too. The folks I know that use Macs prefer them over Windows.
I’m thankful to still have some ability to adapt to new programs, although learning slowly, but thankful non-the-less.
      Have a wonderful week! 😊

  3. Hugs to Sheli-bean–hope he makes a full recovery. (Lucky for you that he likes his medicines. 🙂 )

It’s wonderful that we’ll be seeing you more often with your new laptop–welcome back! Getting comfortable with a new computer does take a while. As for a notes program–my family uses Google Keep since it allows us to collaborate on shared notes. Hope you find something that works for you!

    • Thanks so much Anita,
Unfortunately, he’ll never fully recover. However, that doesn’t stop him from still being the Alpha ruler of our home. Sheli-bean sends a big thank you to you for the hug. ❤️
So far, so good with the new laptop.
Thanks for the suggestion. I’m going to check in to it. It sounds a handy program.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!😊

    • Thanks so much Quiteayarnblog,
I’m still not in the blog groove yet, but I’m trying.
Unfortunately, Sheli-bean won’t ever be totally recovered, but he’s a strong-willed little guy and rules our home like a true alpha prince. 😊
