Project in Progress – Burgundy and Gray Tote Bag

Here’s my crochet project in progress. It’s going to be a bit bigger than my other 2 totes. I’m using 2 strands of yarn. I got bored with the 2 strands of gray color yarn. I changed the second strand to burgundy instead of continue using the second strand of gray.
Not sure how it will look when it’s finished, but I’m liking the colors together. So, we shall see.

Wishing you all a terrific Thursday
and a great rest of the week.

    • Thanks so much Colleen,
What a great compliment you’ve given me. 💖
      It’s something to think about.
For now, I’ll stick to the joy of the making. 😊

    • Thanks so much Nadine,
Great idea. I hadn’t thought about them for gifts. I’m going to put it on my idea list for Christmas gifts.
c2c is my favorite stitch. I love the texture and the finished look it has before I’m even finished. 😊

    • Thanks so much Anita,
Gotta Love C2C. I stopped working on the tote to finish up another one, but I plan to finish this one soon. Have a great rest of the week. 😊

      • I have yet to try C2C, but it looks fascinating, and pretty similar to entrelac knitting, which I have attempted. I have a C2C pillowcase / cushion cover on my to-do list, and it remains to be seen when I’ll get to it. 🙂
I’m looking forward to both of your totes!

        • Hey Anita,
C2C is fairly easy after you get used to it. I bet your entrelac knitting is really pretty. I really like entrelac knitting, loom knitting and Tunisian crochet. It’s a beautiful stitch design.
My sister did some beautiful entrelac Tunisian crochet. I’m not familiar enough with Tunisian crochet to do much with it, much less entrelac, but I may try it someday.
Oh dear, them to-do lists can be time eaters. I have way too many projects on mine. lol
I’ve posted my checkered tote bag and now I can move forward on my gray and burgundy one, if I don’t get side-tracked again. 😊

          • C2C does look easy enough to quickly become muscle memory. Although, like entrelac knitting, I think I might need a refresher if I don’t work on it for long. 🙂

And yes, Tunisian crochet is beautiful, so beautiful! I’m guessing your sister’s project looked and felt fabulous!! I’ve only used it once, for a phone case. I didn’t buy the long stoppered cable attachment, just used a normal crochet hook since the project was small. Loved the resulting texture. Like you, I haven’t tried out Tunisian entrelac. Do you suppose another addition to my to-do list is warranted? 😉

I’m checking out your tote bag update in a short while…

            • Anita,
              You’re so right about C2C.
That’s a good idea about using a regular crochet hook. I bet your phone case is pretty.
My ‘to-do list’ has taken on a life of its own, growing bigger and longer with every new craft I see. 😀
