Latest Busywork Busy-V Blanket Update

I’ve decided to make a few changes to my latest Busywork Busy-V Blanket.
I’m using just 2 colors and making it a smaller throw.

It’s not as much fun making this throw (so far) as it was the other blankets.
The reason my enthusiasm is less this time, it’s been too cold and snowy for me to sit outside and crochet. :/

Wishing you all wonderful weather
for a pleasant rest of the week.

Patchwork Busy-V Blanket

I’m happy that I finally have a new project to do.
I had better luck getting my supplies together to make this project.
Yep, it’s another ‘Busy-Work’ V stitch crochet blanket.
busy-vcolorboxI’ve planned for the color blocking to be more squared to give it more of a patchwork look.
As you can tell, my busy-v pattern is my favorite, right now. This is Busy-V blanket number 3. I like that it’ll keep me busy for a few weeks or more.

I hope y’all aren’t getting too bored with my Busy-Work blankets. I figure my enjoyment for working this pattern may eventually run its course. Or maybe not… I never know about me. 😁

Wishing you all enjoyable busy work!

Holiday Shelibean – Finished my Busy Work Blanket

I hope you all are getting in a festive mood. We;ve begun our holiday decorating. Last year, we had to wait on decorating until mid-December. We had some much-needed work done on our house and it was worth the wait.
Sheli enjoys the decorating and gets right in the middle of it. He has several toys that he gets to play with only during the holidays. He nuzzles them like old friends and wags them around like he’s missed them so very much. He’s such a jolly little fellow.

I finished Busy Work Blanket it’s 64 inches x 74 inch.
I really like the look of it. It turned out quite well.
It’ll come in handy during the colder weather to curl up in and watch some tv or read a good book.

Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend.

Gray Busy Work Blanket

A few weeks ago, I decided the best way to wait for inspiration for a new project was to begin make another busy-work blanket. I had plenty of gray yarn. I thought it’d be nice to see what a solid color busy-work blanket would look like.  I figured, I could work on it until another project came by and then put it down. About a week later I got an idea for that ‘another project’, however I discovered that I didn’t want to put my Gray Busy Work project down. So, I continued on crocheting my busy-work project.
I once again, enjoyed mindlessly v-stitching away, crocheting on the back porch (when the weather allows), or listening to radio shows or watching TV in the evenings.
My gray busy-work blanket will be finished soon. I’ve got the panels ready to join together. I’m kind of sad about it.
Hopefully, I’ll post an update soon.

Here’s wishing your busy-projects to be enjoyable ones!

Finished C2C Bias Blanket Crochet Kit

In an earlier post about the ‘On the Bias Square Afghan’ crochet kit project I was working on, I mentioned about increasing the size 15 inches and needing another skein of yarn? Well, as it turned out, instead of 1 more skein, I needed 2 more skeins. That makes 4 skeins to make this blanket. (although I only used about 1/3 of the 4th skein) Thankfully this yarn’s soft creamy antique white color matched in all 4 skeins.

With my guessing about rows to increase the size, I miscalculated and turned the original square into a rectangle. It measures 60 inches by 72 inches. It’s a really nice large size blanket.

Unfortunately, it’s got a bit of a warp to it and doesn’t fold up evenly.  It’s still a warm blanket and it quite pretty too.

I made-up a different border than the solid one in the original pattern. I figure I had plenty of yarn, might as well use it. I think my border gave it a bit more character.
I’m glad this blanket is finished. I enjoyed making it. I’m not in a hurry to start another big project, but it doesn’t mean I won’t. I can never tell about me. ☺

I’m now searching for my next project, I wonder what it will be.

Wishing you all Happy Crafting Success!
