Bias crochet blanket update

I’m still enjoying this crochet pattern. This past weekend, I was happy when I reached the half-way point. Okay, I must admit that it wouldn’t have taken so long, but I decided to add 15 inches to the blanket. I did the math and the 2 skeins of yarn that I originally purchased with the kit might get me 3/4 of the way finished, more or less. I ordered another skein and for sure that will be enough to finish the blanket… (I hope)

Wishing you all a week of enjoyable projects.

New Crochet blanket – Burgundy & Gray Tote Finished

I got sidetracked for the last couple weeks with my new crochet blanket. The yarn is quite a lovely and soft texture, however, trying to find the middle-pull end was most frustrating. I finally, started with the outside end of the skein and wound it in a ball. It took me a few hours over the course of a day, between housework, to wind the over 1000+ yards.
Since I wound the yarn into a ball, I’m having an enjoyable time making the blanket. I still have over 200 rows to go. Thankfully, it’s a C2C stitch pattern and the last half of the blanket pattern rows will get shorter and faster to finish with every row. (Did that make sense. 😀 )
Yesterday morning, as I picked up my crochet blanket to work on, it occurred to me, that perhaps, I should put it down for the day and try and finish my Burgundy & Gray Tote Bag.
And that is what I did.
It took me the rest of the day, while also doing my housework, to finish it. I finished it right before supper time.
It turned out quite nice.
It’s large enough to hold my laptop.
It has 2 zippered pockets, one large and one medium size.
I decided not to put a closure on it (at the moment) I might later on, if I see that one is needed.
And with this finish, I can get back to happily crocheting on my latest blanket.

Wishing you all a weekend of pleasant temperatures and happy thoughts.

Busy-Work Blanket Finished

I finished my busy-work blanket. The open v-stitch pattern I used with this blanket has made it lighter and airier than most of my blankets I’ve made. I ran out of the blue color and used other colors in its place. I think it worked out pretty good. Plus it helped me use up some more of my yarn hoard stash. 😊
The blanket is 60 inches x 72 inches. It’s a really nice size.

I hope you all have a pleasant week with wonderful weather.

Work In Progress – Busy-Work Blanket

My work in progress at the moment is what I call busy-work. It’s a simple crochet v-stitch pattern made up in strips. I can work on the strips any where, anytime outside, inside, in a car, lobby and so on. After the strips are finished, I’ll join them and have a large blanket. Not that I need it, but I enjoy working on it. It won’t be long now.

Wishing you all enjoyable busy-work projects.

Finished 2022 Temperature Blanket

60″x 80″
My 2022 Temperature blanket has been, for the most part, an enjoyable project. I’m glad I made it, but I’m not planning on making one for this year.
It took me oodles of hours during the 1st and the 2nd days of this year to tie off the yarn-ends on the edges and then crochet the border.
I’m so happy that I’m finally finished with my 2022 temperature blanket.

I hope you all have had a pleasant beginning of 2023.
Wishing you all a year full of joy and happiness!
