Lucy in pink – finished my hat

I bought Lucy a pink fuzzy warm suit and some pink snow-booties, in case the forecasted snowstorm comes and she wants to go outside to play. Unfortunately, she runs too fast to keep her booties on and slings them off. You can tell from the photo that her pink suit in a bit short for her long legs, but it will do, I think.
I finished crocheting my hat. It’s really warm and it will be a big help if we get any of the forecasted monster ice or snow.

I thought I’d pop in and say “howdy” in case a snow or ice storm hits and we lose our internet.

Sending you all wishes for a safe and warm rest of the week.

New Little blankets for Shelibean

About 7 years ago, I made a post ‘WIP Wednesday – New Blankets for Shelibean’ It’s pictures of Sheli with his new blankets I crocheted for him from when he was a couple months old and when he was about 4 1/2 years old.
Shelibean is about 12 1/2 years old, I figure after the rough past few months he’s had, that he deserves some new blankets.
They’re handy for him to lay on or be covered up with. The best part is he recognizes them as his and it seems a comfort to him.
These blankets are a basic granny square crochet pattern of 18 double crochet rounds and a round of single crochet to finish the border, size I crochet hook, the yarn is what I have in my stash.

Shelibean and I wish you all a wonderful week.

10-19-2024- Hey Everybody

I’m dropping in to say hello.
Many years ago, I read an article that said if you’ve taken time off from blogging, not to start back with an re-intro post, but instead, to just jump back in posting.
I think that’d be an awful cold way to restart, and since I’m past the age of giving a flip about pretentious rules, here goes… 😁

Life has kept us on our toes the past few months. Things are finally evening out. The days are getting longer and cooler. The cooler temperatures are welcome after the long hot days. We still have days of hot temperatures but they’re not as intense as before.

Sheli-bean is suffering some sad health issues mainly with his heart. He had to stay in the veterinary-hospital for a few days. We thank the good Lord above that he’s still with us. His age is an issue with his health problems. We’re diligent in giving him his medicines twice a day, which he likes a lot because they’re like a treat and cheeses. He’s our wonderful little boy. ❤️

I reached the point, with my other laptop where I could no longer tolerate it.  It was one of several reasons, that caused me some of my blogging issues. So, I splurged and got a new laptop. It’s taking some time for me to get my files/photos/programs and stuff uploaded, downloaded, reloaded and back up and running. Not to mention getting used to it. I’m still in the ‘learning curve’ stage with it.

By any chance, do you know of a good ‘note program’ that I can use across my devices: kindle fire, mobile phone and laptop? I was using ColorNote notepad, but unfortunately, it’s no longer compatible with Windows 11. :/

Okay, folks, I’ll be making the rounds, when I can, and try to do some visiting and commenting. Be patient with me, it’ll take me a few days to visit. I have a lot of catching up to do. Hopefully, I’ll be back to blogging more often, soon.

I wish you all a pleasant  weekend.
😊

Strolling with Sheli-bean

Sheli-bean will be 12 years old in June. He’s still my Babyboy though. Unfortunately, time is starting to wear on him. He has several health problems which has stopped us from taking him for walks of any distance.
Sheli-bean enjoys going to the garden with us. He’ll walk halfway to the garden, and we carry him the rest of the way. When we go back home, we carry him all the way back.
However, time is starting to wear on us as well. Sadly, Sheli is afraid of our small garden wagon and won’t ride it. It’s getting more difficult to tote him and gardening supplies.
Last week, it occurred to me that there’s all sorts of cool stuff made for pets now, so why not a stroller.
I was ever so happy to find one that is made the way we think is best for Sheli-bean. I was worried how he would take to it. But my worries were short lived when I put him in it, he sat right down. We took him outside and he seemed to enjoy riding in the stroller.
When we came back in, he didn’t want to be taken out of the stroller. He laid down and took a nice long nap. I guess enjoying the great outdoors without it affecting his health was a relief to his little spirit.

I hope you all have a pleasant rest of the week.

Holiday Shelibean – Finished my Busy Work Blanket

I hope you all are getting in a festive mood. We;ve begun our holiday decorating. Last year, we had to wait on decorating until mid-December. We had some much-needed work done on our house and it was worth the wait.
Sheli enjoys the decorating and gets right in the middle of it. He has several toys that he gets to play with only during the holidays. He nuzzles them like old friends and wags them around like he’s missed them so very much. He’s such a jolly little fellow.

I finished Busy Work Blanket it’s 64 inches x 74 inch.
I really like the look of it. It turned out quite well.
It’ll come in handy during the colder weather to curl up in and watch some tv or read a good book.

Wishing you all an enjoyable weekend.
