My gray ‘On the Bias Square Afghan’ is now finished.
Sheli loves it. He’s a big fan of just about any crochet project.

I’m in the process of crocheting another ‘On the Bias Square Afghan’. One of the things I like best about this pattern is it’s a c2c pattern. I’ve decided to make it the size of the pattern instead of trying to make it larger like I did the first one.
I’m enjoying making this one better than I did the first one. I guess it’s because I’m finally comfortable with the pattern.
The days are grey and rainy with a few sporadic splashes of sunshine. Crocheting is a good way to pass the time.
Wishing you all a week of sunshine and smiles.
I’m using the ‘Knifty Knitter’ icord spool loom to make the handles for my Burgundy and Gray Tote Bag. Well, right now, that’s my plan. If they don’t look good, I’ll make some other kind.

For the first time, (as best as I can remember), I bought a ‘crochet kit’. It’s C2C pattern, (but not the C2C block stitch pattern I usually use.) called ‘On the Bias Square Afghan’.
I’m practicing with scrap yarn before I use the yarn that comes with the kit. It’s a good choice on my part, because, as you can see in the picture, I’ve got quite a few mistakes on my practice piece. I’ll start on the actual Afghan when I’m more comfortable with the stitch pattern. I’m looking forward to making it.
Happy Crafting!
I crocheted another blanket. I once again used the sunburst granny pattern.
I wish I could get a photo of the blanket showing the colors more closer to the way they are in real life. I managed to get a photo of a single block closer to the actual colors.
I like the way these colors look together. My husband thinks the blanket is really pretty.
I’ve been having big fun with the sunburst granny square pattern. There’s so many pretty color combos that make me wish I could make them all.
I call this blanket ‘Autumn Beauty‘
Finished size is 56 inches x 64 inches
Red Heart yarn
4 skeins carrot
4 skeins tan
2 skeins Aaron
1 skein tea leaf
Bernat yarn: 1 skein walnut
Crochet Hook Size I
Pattern Sunburst Granny
56 blocks
I like my crochet squares to be a bit tighter than the norm, so I adjusted the pattern:
I did not put single crochets between the puffs and the clusters
I put only one single crochet in the corners.
I did not use triple crochet, I used double crochets
