Sunny Spring Saturday

My daffodils were so pretty this year. They began blooming last of February and then burst into a glorious display early March. I had began to think they were safe from snow
and then…

March 12, 2022 we got a heavy, but pretty snowfall.
It caused my daffodils to freeze-to-death.
That made me sad.
However, at least we’re done with that ‘snow-laying-on-daffodils-once’.
Now Spring can continue to bud and bloom…
(until our last frost in a month or so, which hopefully won’t freeze so hard that it bites all the beautiful green things to death.)

Speaking of Spring, my day-lilies have awoken and are growing. Shelibean posed in front of them for me.
Bless my wee-boy’s-heart, he’s starting to show his age, thankfully he’s still a puppy at heart and a loving, happy little soul.

Happy Spring to you all!

Wildbird Wednesday – Fine Feathered PhotoBomb – Hummingbird

I was taking to a photo of our pretty small sunflowers,
My husband said, “Hey there’s a hummingbird!”.
As I clicked the photo, I asked, “Where?” and looked up.
My husband pointed and replied, “There!”
The hummingbird buzzed over my head. I said, ” Shucks, I wish I’d seen it sooner, I’d of tried to take a picture of it.”
Imagine how tickled I was when I was going through my photos and discovered that I got a photo of the wee winged wonder after all.

I wish you all a great rest of the week!

Wildlife Wednesday – Beautiful Turkey Hen

This Big Beautiful Turkey Hen often strolls through our yard. We’re hoping she has some cute little poults to stroll through our yard too.

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

BumbleBeeuaty on Hosta bloom

Good Monday Morning!

This morning, I saw this beautiful bumblebee in my hostas. It rested long enough for me to get a fairly good photo. I was so happy with it, that I decided to share it here for your viewing pleasure.

I was going to write on the meaning of bumblebees… however, when I looked up the meaning, I read so many different ones that I couldn’t decide which one would be fitting to share.

So, I’ll just comment on what it meant to me, ‘Seeing a bumblebee, feeding in my flowerbed, was a blessing. It gave me a sense of hope and comfort for the Summer days to come.’

How about you, is there a moment spent with nature that makes you feel blessed and hopeful or comforts you?

Wishing you all a pleasant week of hope and comfort.
