2019 Temperature blankets Update

My temperature blankets are getting some size to them now. I like the way they’re looking.

My husband told me that my blankets remind him of the music screen the humans played for the aliens on ‘close encounters of the 3rd kind’.  😀

Happy Crafting!

1st harvest 2019 – Temperature blankets update

I’m a little late on these two project updates. Life’s been sidetracking my blogging here lately.
So here goes…

First harvest 4-28-2019 – a mess of green onions.
If you followed my blog over the years, you’ll probably guess what that means… that’s right, our first fresh batch of bruschetta.

 High & Low Temperature Blankets

Wishing you all a successful week.

WIP Wednesday – Temperature blankets Update

In an earlier post, I said I was going to give updates on my temperature blankets every 29 days or so, but I made another color change that I wanted to share.
I’m not using ‘Aran’ color for the joining. I’m using other colors to help give the blankets more character and help make them easier to tell apart.

For the ‘High Temperature’ blanket, I’m using ‘burgundy’ for the joining (and the edging when it’s finished) because that’s the color of the ‘Highest’ temperature on my chart. For the ‘Low Temperature’ blanket, I’m using ‘White’ for the joining (and the edging when it’s finished) because that’s the color of the ‘Lowest’ temperature on my chart.

I’m hoping that this is the final adjustment I make. Now I can focus on adding the colors each day and joining the rows together every 14 days.

Wishing you all a wonderful rest of the week.

WIP Wednesday – Another Temperature blanket – Low Temp

The 2019 temperature blanket that I’ve been working on is for the ‘High’ temperatures of the day. I’ve been playing with the idea of making a second one of the ‘Low’ temperatures of the day. So, last night I pulled up the monthly weather report and began a ‘Low Temp’ blanket. I’m using my same pattern and my same color chart.I think it’ll be pretty neat to see how the 2 blankets compare as time goes on.
Hopefully, I can keep both of them going and come January 1st, 2020, I’ll have two blankets to crochet a border on.
Until then, I plan to make an update on them every 29 days or so.

Here’s wishing you all enjoyment in whatever WIP you’ve got going.
