Final round – Sunburst Granny Square Blanket

I finally got the yellow round crocheted on my sunburst granny squares. I was going to do another round of white, but my enjoyment for working with this pattern has ran it’s course. I’ve made ever so many of these squares since I first discovered the pattern last September. It’s all I could do to keep going to do the yellow round on all these squares.

Thank goodness the square measure 8″x8″.  I cut the amount of squares back from 72 to 64 so the blanket will be an 8 block x 8 block square and will still be a nice size blanket

Hopefully, I’ll get this blanket assembled and finished soon. After I get it finished, I plan to line up all my sunburst blankets and throws and take a photo of them to post here.

Wishing you all a fun filled weekend.

Happy crafting!

WIP – Sunburst Granny Squares

I’ve made 5 blankets/throws using the “sunburst granny square”.
I’m working on a 6th sunburst blanket right now.
I’ve got my 72 squares ready for next color.
I wonder if, after this blanket, I’ll make another
one with this pattern. 🙂

Wishing you all happy crafting!

Gelatin Pudding Squares

IMG_23502ab

Last night I made a recipe for Gelatin Pudding Squares by mixing 2 instant desserts: jolly rancher blue raspberry gelatin mix with jello cheesecake pudding mix . Today it was set firm enough that I cut in it to blocks  put them in a fancy glass.  It’s pretty and tasty.

*(I used the sugar free fat free jello cheesecake pudding because it’s what I had on hand, however, next time I make this dessert I’m going to use regular jello cheesecake pudding.)

1 box flavored gelatin mix
1 box jello cheesecake pudding mix
1 1/4 cups cold milk
3/4 cup milk heated until hot

Pour hot milk into medium size mixing bowl.
Beating at slow speed add flavored gelatin powder.
Mix for 2 minutes.
Add the 1 1/4 cups of cold milk to the mix and continue beating while gradually adding in all of the cheesecake pudding powder.
Beat on medium for 2 minutes.
Pour into an 8 inch cake pan. Or a dish big enough to give a nice flat bottom when the mix sets firm.
Put into the refrigerator for several hours until firm or over night for a good solid set.
When ready to use, cut into squares, place in a dish, garnish and serve.

Wishing you all a sweet weekend!
