I’m happy to say that I finished the Minecraft-TNT tissue box cover I made for my Grandson. I think he’ll like it.
I think that the cover turned out fairly well considering the pattern I made and the changes I made.
After I finished it, I went over the inside with washable glue to seal in the yarn ends. I let it dry thoroughly and then put it on the box.
I guess, tissue box covers are some of the most favorite patterns used by folks. I’m playing with the idea of making a Village out of plastic canvas. There’s so many cottage, house and shop tissue box covers to inspire me that I could probably have a huge community. I may do it eventually.

Years ago, I did embroidery, counted cross stitch, a little crewel. I never worked with plastic canvas, but we sold a TON of it at the Ben Franklin store we owned.
I know your grandson will like his tissue box cover!

Plastic canvas is really versatile. It’s great for kids to do because it’s easier than the cross stitch or embroidery.

Very nice tissue box cover! I used to do cross-stitch. I made a duck that I framed and it is still hanging on the wall. These days, I do a lot of knitting 🙂

I used to do needlepoint when I was a child. Perhaps I just had to keep my hands busy, but I did cross stitch, crochet, even knitting. I could never sew, though I did finish a project just because I started it as a summer goal once. You are so talented when it comes to seeing something in a picture and then just making it happen.

I bet you’d be good at anything you set your mind too. You’re a very talented author and that’s a wonderful gift to have.
I think I get my design-reproducing ability from my Mom. My Mom could make a pattern and reproduce most any piece of clothing from a catalog or picture. 🙂
