I made a candy cane decoration out of empty paper towel tubes. It was harder than I thought it’d be to make the rounded crook of the cane. It took a few tries, but I figured it out and finally got one to came out fairly adequate.
Now on to my next project… whatever will it be…
I hope your week is filled with success
and Happy craftings!

I can imagine that was quite a challenge; looks like you mastered it!

Did you wrap the tube with paper or fabric?

Hi Laura
I wrapped the tube in masking tape to hold the cane shape, then I wrapped it in quilt batting because the cardboard tube wasn’t smooth (especially the arc), and then I wrapped it in striped fabric. I used low temp hot glue to hold the batting and fabric on it.

Thanks Patti
My candy turned out better than I hoped.
I was thinking about my creative holiday spirit today. It started with my snowman photo and has just sort of continued. It’s fun and cheerful. 😀
