We saw this youngster trying to figure out how to get in to the tomato cages.
My husband had made and put the tomato cages up a couple hours before.
I’d call that perfect timing. 😉
Happy wildlife Wednesday!

The white balls on the posts – are they part of the deterrent too? (Sorry if I missed a previous explanation…)

Hi Margy
No apology necessary. I’ve never mentioned the the white balls before.
The white balls aren’t deterrents. The balls are toy golf balls on bamboo stakes. We use them to mark our rows. Most-times we leave them up after our veggies come up. I guess we kind of like the look of them in the garden. We’ve been using the same ones for many years. I’m amazed at how long the bamboo stakes are lasting. 🙂

Wow, the deer looks very determined. It’s a good thing that your husband got the tomato cages up when he did.

Hi Sheryl
The deer is a cute little threat. So far, thankfully the cages are still working. 🙂
