My work in progress at the moment is what I call busy-work. It’s a simple crochet v-stitch pattern made up in strips. I can work on the strips any where, anytime outside, inside, in a car, lobby and so on. After the strips are finished, I’ll join them and have a large blanket. Not that I need it, but I enjoy working on it. It won’t be long now.
Wishing you all enjoyable busy-work projects.
That’s a smart project, E.C.! For some reason, I only recall Granny squares when I think of assembled blankets. 🙂 Your finished strips and the schematic for assembly look so good, and I’m waiting to see the blanket when done.

Thanks so much Anita,
I love granny-squares. I thought about using them. My inspiration for the strips was my temperature blanket, but on a wider scale. The v-stitch is easy and goes quickly. Hopefully, I’ll be posting an update soon. 🙂

Thanks so much Colleen,
I’m gradually getting my extra yarns used. I think the odd skeins give projects like this one character. Well, that’s what I tell myself. lol 😊💖

I agree with you. Besides, they keep us warm in winter. LOL!

That’s for sure. Lovely design or not, a warm blanket is a warm blanket. 😉

Exactly. I hate wasting anything. There were too many times in my life when I couldn’t afford the extras. Waste not, want not. LOL! 💜

Amen to that Colleen,
I’m thankful I was raised to appreciate making do with what’s on hand and spending sparingly. Like you, in the past, and even now, being thrifty makes a positive difference in our lives. I echo your sentiment. 😊💜
