While shopping, I decided in the bread isle at the grocery store that I would make some raisin bread. It’s been so long since I made raisin bread, that I couldn’t remember my recipe ingredients except for flour, cinnamon and raisins.
I looked up a recipe on my phone and was amazed to see a recipe which has no cinnamon at all. It’s actually just a plain Classic Raisin Bread
I’m always up for trying a plain classic recipe. Even though the recipe is fairly straight forward I took my time mixing, rising and baking from 9am to 2pm.
It was enjoyable to make fresh baked raisin bread on a cold winter’s day.
My husband loved the raisin bread too.
Wishing you all successful baking.

This looks delicious so I am going to ask my hubby the breadmaker for a loaf!

Thanks so much Pip,
It’s a plain and not too sweet and tastes good toasted in the oven too.
I hope you’ll share the results if your hubby makes a loaf of raisin bread. 😊🍞
