Warming the Shelibean

IMG_6535It’s 88º (31.1ºC) outside and 78º (25.55ºC) inside.
It’s Summertime hot outside and
comfortable on the inside of our house.

I walked into the living room and found my little furry
Shelibean taking a nap wrapped in my crocheted blanket.
I guess he was a cold little fellow underneath all that fur. lol

Here’s wishing you an amusing week.

Issues with commenting

I’m having issues with trying to post comments.
Over the past week or so, I’ve read blogs that mention
they’re having issues with posting comments too.
So, it’s not just me.
I hope WordPress resolves the issues soon.

I’m still able to ‘Like’, so that’s a positive.
I’ll comment when I can…

Wishing you all a relaxing weekend.

Random Five Friday – 8-22-2014

0-shelibeanI figure what better way to start off a Random Friday Five than with Shelibean.  I wanted a new photo of Sheli to post here, but he was having none of it. I scooped him up and sat him on an old table outside and still he wouldn’t cooperate. This was the only photo out of a half dozen that was even recognizable. It’s like he knows if he moves his head it blurs the photo. Apparently Sheli loves being a lap-landing-ornament but he ain’t gonna be nobody’s super model.

IMG_6329My husband’s flower bed is looking wonderful. It’s so pretty in real life.

IMG_6341Our Gerber daisies never have had a chance to flourish because something keeps cutting them down.
I was happy when I found this one with a bloom and a ladybug. I figure the bloom won’t be there much longer. It’s either rabbits or squirrels that cuts our Gerber daisies down. Nope it’s not a cutting worm. Want to know how I know it’s not a cutting worm? Because cutting worms don’t leave foot prints in the dirt and they don’t scatter the leaves and stems. lol

IMG_6325The walnuts are falling, which means that Autumn is soon to be here putting the land to bed getting ready for the long winter’s sleep.  We don’t ever harvest the walnuts, we leave them for the squirrels to eat and bury all over the yard.

IMG_6392I’ve been working a bit on burlap decor. I’ve decided it needs some color. Instead of buying colored burlap I dyed it with coffee and kool-aid. I’m pleased as peaches with the results.
While I’m discussing burlap, here’s a little stuffed heart I made that may end up on my new wreath. I’m quite pleased with the way it looks and I wanted to show it off. 😉IMG_6387

This is all for me at the moment.

I hope you all have a pleasant weekend.

Update on Windows Update install issues

IMG_6273My laptop tried again and again to install the Windows update. Finally on the last attempt I spotted a link for more help on resolving the issue. It lead me to a Microsoft fixit program to help resolve the issue.
I installed it and ran it and by-gum within a short time my laptop was fixed and the update was installed.
~sigh of relief~
For my daily computing, I was careful and didn’t do anything that it would be a problem if my laptop lost it in a crash. I read the news sites and did a lot of pinning.

I made plans to blog yesterday morning. With visions of visiting and commenting dancing in my head, I happily turned on my laptop and immediately was met with a notification to install 18 updates…
~falls on the floor sobbing~
With trepidation I clicked the button to install the updates…
Waiting and waiting and then finally they all surprisingly installed without a hitch.
But again, I was careful not to do anything that would cause me problems if it was lost in a crash… Back to news reading and pinning

This morning there was no updates and my laptop seems to be running okay. So here I am blogging again… hopefully I’ll get to visit and comment and be a normal blogger without any issues nor arguments from my laptop…

Just one more thing… In my opinion, the Microsoft fixit programs, that Microsoft has come out with, are some of the most helpful little programs I’ve ever run for resolving issues. I have a couple installed on my laptop that I run when I need to resolve general issues. There’s oodles of them out there, if you can find one that is directly related to a problem you’re having, sometimes the Microsoftfixit fixes it in little of no time.
Here’s alink to the Microsoft Fix it Solution Center mrfixit
There’s alot of solutions but remember to Use them at your own discretion, they may or may-not resolve or help or work for everyone.

Here’s wishing you all a week free of pc issues.
