Classic Impressions Needlepoint Update – Secret of the Butterflies
I’m making a bit more progress on my Classic Impressions Needlepoint that I started in 2020. I don’t know why I’m so slow on this project. I think it’s a pretty piece. I enjoy working on it, I just can’t stay motivated for too long of a stretch of time. 😊
Now for the Secret of the Butterflies. The butterflies in the bouquet behind the needlepoint are really pretty in real life. As I was watering the bouquet the other day, I discovered that the butterflies are made of painted feathers. The body seems to be made with some kind of clay. They’re so cool!
I can imagine trying to make butterflies like this for many different crafts. Keyword is trying. lol
I thought it was such a clever idea that I’d share it here with you, in case you might want to gussy-up a craft with butterflies sometime.
The welcomed budding and blooming of the world waking up from its long winter’s nap has started big-time. As nice as that is, all the pollens and nonsense tend play havoc with our allergies. Might not be as bad if the wind would stop auditioning for the lead role of trying to prove it’s stronger than the Sun. lol
(Remember the fable: The North Wind and The Sun – Aesop Fables)
The warmth of Spring temperatures sporadically makes appearances. Except for nights, more than a few nights, we have to cover my flowers to keep them from freezing. I’m thankful that it won’t be too much longer until the night temperatures should even out and become pleasant.
Wishing you all the warmth of pleasant
Spring breezes with very few sneezes.

Work In Progress – Busy-Work Blanket
My work in progress at the moment is what I call busy-work. It’s a simple crochet v-stitch pattern made up in strips. I can work on the strips any where, anytime outside, inside, in a car, lobby and so on. After the strips are finished, I’ll join them and have a large blanket. Not that I need it, but I enjoy working on it. It won’t be long now.
Wishing you all enjoyable busy-work projects.
Work In Progress Wednesday – C2C Patchwork Blanket
I’m trying to thin down my yarn stash by making another good sized blanket. As it always goes, I had plenty of the rose and tan of the colors but had to order blue and sage skeins to finish it out. But it still reduced my stash by quite a bit.
I’ve been working on the squares since the first week of October. I’ve only a couple more to go before I start joining the blocks together.
I really like these colors together. I hope the blanket looks pretty good when completed and if it doesn’t, well at least it’ll be warm.
Wishing you a Happy rest of the week!
Diamond painting – plastic canvas tissue box cover – Classic Impressions Needlepoint
I’m happy with my diamond painting.
I framed it and have it hanging in my kitchen.
It wasn’t easy to get a very good picture of it, but this one turned out fairly well.
I finished my plastic canvas tissue box cover.
I think the colors look pretty good together.
I got a bit more done on my ‘Classic Impressions Needlepoint’.
I hope I’ll keep working on it steady.
I still have oodles of work to go on it.
Wishing you all a week of happy crafting!
We started 2025 year off with diamond paintings .
My husband is faster at the DP art than I am. He’s already finished his picture of kitchen paraphernalia.
I’m about 3/4 way through with mine. I like the watering can with sunflowers.
