I’m trying to thin down my yarn stash by making another good sized blanket. As it always goes, I had plenty of the rose and tan of the colors but had to order blue and sage skeins to finish it out. But it still reduced my stash by quite a bit.
I’ve been working on the squares since the first week of October. I’ve only a couple more to go before I start joining the blocks together.
I really like these colors together. I hope the blanket looks pretty good when completed and if it doesn’t, well at least it’ll be warm.
Wishing you a Happy rest of the week!
the colours do work well together. I admire anyone who has the patience to knit or crochet

Thanks so much Pip,
These colours are working out better than I’d planned.
For me crochet is relaxing and quite calming. It helps me to de-stress, get past my worries and think about positive things. 🙂

Thanks so much Kathy,
I can hardly wait to start joining the blocks. It’s going to be fun to have finished and use on chilly days. 🙂

E.C. with heating costs on the rise, any of these blankets will be a warm and welcome addition to the winter. The colors are beautiful! 🧡

Thanks so much Colleen, ❤
It's sad the cost of heating a home is rising and we aren't even into the cold weather yet. If we get oodles of snow and/or freezing temperatures, I may be tempted to work up the rest of my yarn in more blankets.
These colours are some of my favorites to work with. I'm glad they complement each other so well. 🙂

Hey Colleen,
As creative as you are, I bet you could make some beautiful blankets. I hope you get a chance to crochet sometime. However, I do understand, Time is a slippery critter, that’s for true. 😀

LOL! It is and with my business, blogging, and writing, sometimes it’s hard to find the time.

What is the stitch called? It looks like something you have to concentrate on!

Thanks so much Margy,
The stitch is my altered version of a ‘corner to corner’ (c2c) stitch. I like my stitches a bit tighter than the original version. It’s an easy stitch to do after you get the hang of it, and it works up fast too. 🙂
