To the Dads, caregivers & guardians
of our precious children,
Happy Father’s Day Weekend!
.
To the Dads, caregivers & guardians.
I’ve decided to try to catch up on my projects before starting new ones.
I chose my blanket to finish up first. It’s been on the loom for quite a long time now.
I’m happy to finally have it finshed.
Shelibean tried the blanket out first. He seems to think it’s just right.
Here’s my blanket’s stats:
168 pegs – 28″ Knitting Board Loom + peg extenders
KB Knitting hook
8 skeins of 6oz 185 yds ‘Pearl’ Lion Brand HomeSpun Yarn
278 rows
46,704 stitches
Finished size 58″x58″
Here’s wishing all you all luck in finishing up your works-in-progress.

I’m sad to tell you that the wren eggs have all disappeared. They became another loss in the circle-of-life. I read that wrens will usually have a couple of broods a year. Hopefully Mr & Mrs Wren will have success with their second brood this Summer.
.
We saw this youngster trying to figure out how to get in to the tomato cages.
My husband had made and put the tomato cages up a couple hours before.
I’d call that perfect timing. 😉

Happy wildlife Wednesday!
.
I’m happy to report that the wrens nest is not a dummy-nest.
The nest is a viable fully functioning nest with 5 eggs.
I’m not fast enough to get a photo of Mama Wren, but I managed to get a pretty good photo of the eggs.
I hope in the near future there will be 5 little birdies in the nest.
My husband harvested our first crop out of the garden: a mess of onions.
So, our gardening season is off and hopefully if the critters allow it we’ll have lots of yummy veggies.
It’s been raining off and on the past couple days.
The world around us is turning into a grand green oasis.
I’m so happy to finally see flora and fauna flourishing.
Wishing you all a Happy Tuesday.
