I fixed the word ‘Snowberry’.
I misspelled it on the video, the photos & this post.
I apologize for my mistake & any confusion I may have caused.

What a beauty, I had never seen a clearwing before! Thank you so much for sharing E.C. and happy Wednesday :o) xxx

You’re Welcome WW
I agree, they’re beautiful. It’s also neat to be able to actually see through it’s wings. I hope you get to see one someday.
Thanks so much. 🙂

Hummingbirds are so amazing. I haven’t seen any yet this year.

I looked at this again and realized that it’s an insect. I hadn’t known that there was a moth called a hummingbird moth.

Thanks Sheryl,
It’s an easy mistake to make. They’re really pretty in real life. I hope you get to see one someday. 🙂

This moth is a beauty, but, isn’t its larva the tomato horn worm that is so destructive to tomato plants?

Thanks Mary,
Yes, unfortunately, it’s caterpillars are a pest of tomato and potato farmers. We’re lucky that it’s not an issue with our gardening and we can enjoy the beauty of the Moths. 🙂

I remember thinking I’d never seen a bee that big when one crawled into a blossom on the trumpet vine one year. That’s when I learned what it really was–and I didn’t need to worry about getting stung!

I agree Patti
I thought the same thing the first one that I saw in my garden. I was so relieved to find out that it was a moth and not a stinger. 😉
